ACBF :
The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) is an independent, capacity-building institution based in Harare, Zimbabwe. The establishment of ACBF was a response to the severity of Africa’s capacity problem and the challenge to invest in indigenous human capital and institutions in sub-Saharan Africa.
AERC :
The principal objective of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) is to strengthen local capacity for conducting independent, rigorous inquiry into problems pertinent to the management of economies in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). DAC :
The Development Assistance Committee (DAC) is the principal body through which the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) deals with issues related to co-operation with developing countries. The DAC is a key forum of major bilateral donors. DAC work in the area of governance and capacity development is carried out primarily through its Network on Governance (GOVNET, www.oecd.org/dac/governance), an international forum that brings together practitioners of development co-operation agencies as well as experts from partner countries. This site was managed by the International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR - IFPRI) and promoted the use of evaluation in capacity development. TWAS :
An academy of sciences for the developing world, represents the best of science in the developing world. Its principal aim is to promote scientific capacity and excellence for sustainable development in the South. It is an autonomous international organisation with an active network carrying out meetings, lectures and conferences and providing research grants for scientists from developing countries.

Comesa :
