Democratic processes in governance and peacebuilding

19 November 2010

IDRC Canada is supporting case studies in eight countries examining the links between poverty reduction, risk mitigation and democratization.

This international research project is led by the McGill Centre for Developing-Area Studies (CDAS) in Canada and brings together research teams from Bosnia, Colombia, Iraq, Lebanon, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sri Lanka and Sudan. The goal of the study is to provide a policy-relevant understanding of the relationship between key development goals, including poverty reduction, risk mitigation and participatory governance.
