Theory of change training workshop
January 2012
Dates: 5 - 7 March 2010
Type of event: Training workshop (Please note that this is a paid course)
Location: Oxford, UK
Organization: International NGO Training and Research Centre (INTRAC)
This new course provides an opportunity to understand and explore what Theories of Change are; how they complement other planning processes; how they can be applied to organisations and to programmes. The course enables participants to consider the steps they need to take in developing a ToC for their own organisation/programme; and offers an opportunity to experiment with developing elements of a ToC on the course.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe what ToCs involve and include and the rationale for using them
- Identify how and when they should be developed and how they complement other planning tools
- Define steps and processes for developing ToCs
This course is suitable for senior programme managers and those involved in the design and implementation of M&E and Impact Assessment. In order to make the most of this course, INTRAC encourages organisations to consider sending more than one participant to this course.
