Aga Khan Foundation, Earthscan, 2001. The Aga Khan Foundation’s NGO Enhancement Programmes are creating a comprehensive toolkit to support the resource mobilization efforts of civil society organizations in the South. The toolkit includes a handbook, Towards Financial Self-Reliance: A Handbook on Resource Mobilization for Civil Society Organizations in the South (Earthscan, 2001) and a trainer manual (downloadable from the website) and a web-based interactive course (on locally customised CD-ROMs). The handbook is a practical guide aimed at managers of civil society organizations, including NGOs, citizens’ movements, cooperatives, trade unions and other grassroots organizations on how to mobilize resources and become financially self-reliant.
