The Politics of the MDGs: A Critical Appraisal of the Global Partnership for Development

African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD), 2005. While South Africa is by far the largest economy in Africa, there are still a number of severe problems which make attainment of the MDGs difficult. Poverty reduction and the attainment of the MDGs will require a shift in decision-making closer to communities and their organisations, in order to improve the connection between policies and outcomes.
