The Low Income Countries Under Stress (LICUS) Initiative
On 1 July 2007 the World Bank established the Fragile and Conflict-Affected Countries Group, responsible for the development and implementation of the joint agenda on conflict and fragility across the Bank and for promoting the overall effectiveness of the World Bank’s response to fragile and conflict-affected countries. The group is also responsible for LICUS, a WB initiative to supporting a high-risk country groups which started in 2002.
