This DFID sourcebook complements the organisation's guidelines on promoting Institutional and Organisational Development. It outlines some of the key tools and techniques used by those involved in these processes, while emphasising that these are not blueprints, but need to be adapted to reflect the local context in which they are used.
The sourcebook is divided into 5 key sections that correspond to the chapters of the guidelines:

- Review and design
- Implementation
- Monitoring and Evaluation.
