This section of the resource corner will look at the issue of 'Leading yourself' or 'personal leadership'.
Personal leadership is about who you are and what you want to achieve. It is about self-management, developing your qualities, and addressing your weaknesses. It is not a one-off event, but a personal journey that can last a life-time. On the internet, and in books, you will find a wide range of resources to guide you through this process, including tools for time-management and the creation of a personal vision, and tests to identify your personal leadership style. There is also a range of materials available on how leadership development programmes devote attention to the question, through coaching and mentoring, journal keeping, and experiential learning.
This section of the resource corner draws from this wide selection, and tries to provide you with a first overview.
What tools and exercises did you use to become 'your own best leader'? Please sign up for the resource corner, and add your input, by clicking on the 'add content' link at the bottom of the page.
